Automotive Sales Manager - Semiconductor

The company is a billion dollar organisation providing the largest range of LED, storage, memory and logic solutions to enhance the user experience in, lighting and computing, mobile devices and home entertainment. Offering advanced R&D labs focused on product design and research in memory, displays, logic, image sensors, and mobile technologies.

Job replacement:

Planning, initiating and actively driving forward automotive sales. Growing business / market share and securing long-term leadership by maintaining / expanding existing business, identifying new business opportunities and generating new future business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, intensify and expand close customer relationship
  • Identify potential new customers / markets and business opportunities
  • Observe and analyse existing and emerging markets and trends in the Automotive area
  • Identify new projects and initiate and follow-up product qualification / design-in
  • Monitor field sales operations and control achievements by product, area and customer
  • Arrange technical / commercial product presentations in-house and on customer site
  • Plan and carry out professional promotion activities in consultation and cooperation with assigned product portfolio
  • Analyse and evaluate business results and submit regular business reports
  • Prepare, supervise and monitor the relevant Global Supply Chain including forecast

Key Requirements

  • University degree / Master’s degree qualified or equivalent in electronics or a related subject
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience in a sales function within the semiconductor area, preferably in LSI, Memory Key or LED account management
  • Extensive sales thinking and pro-active / consultative sales approach
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Persuasive and professional presenting products / technologies and concepts to customers
  • Good knowledge of Automotive market (Semiconductor)
  • Very good communication skills and ability to negotiate at all levels
  • Self-starter being able to work under minimum supervision
  • Initiative and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Assertive, determined, flexible and creative personality
  • Ability to work in a team and to manage a team
  • Familiarity to work with state-of-the-art software applications (MS-Office, SAP/R3)
