The position of Sales Manager – EMEIA is a high-level management position that carries an overriding responsibility to contribute to corporate sales efforts. The Sales Manager must achieve sales and gross profit targets by building and managing highly effective territorial sales coverage. Participate in direct sales efforts and manage a team of highly qualified and motivated Regional Sales Managers located across the EMEIA region. Core elements of the position require that the Sales Manager interfaces with all levels of sales, management and administrative personnel within the matrix-based organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspirational leadership, mentoring and coaching of the external sales team to ensure a highly effective, proactive sales function for the organisation. This is inclusive of all aspects of management of direct reports.
  • Contribute to the growth and sustainability of corporate revenues and profits.
  • Contribute to the growth of market share.
  • Develop and maintain effective, proactive and organised EMEIA outside sales coverage.
  • Daily interaction and correspondence with the EMEIA Inside Sales Manager.
  • Be flexible to the changing sales and marketing needs of the organization.
  • Build and maintain positive internal and external relationships.
  • Provide market feedback and participate in corporate marketing efforts.
  • Attend vacuum science and technology conferences and trade shows.
  • Generate leads independently and follow-up appropriately.
  • Consult with prospects and customers to determine their needs.
  • Work with sales team to generate value-adding multi-product/service solutions with a high degree of cross-selling.
  • Develop self by learning new products and services, as they become available.
  • Apply new product and market knowledge in business development efforts.
  • Create contracts and sales quotations using tools and resources as needed.
  • Develop and deliver customized presentations.
  • Work with the Global Marketing Manager to create and distribute effective sales reporting dashboards to the sales teams.
